Geomorphic est une exploration du temps minéral où je reproduis en accéléré le processus naturel d’érosion sur des roches fantasmées.

Sédimentation de notre temps que l’érosion met à jour, ces pièces offrent à nos yeux des découvertes minéralogiques comme autant de mises en abime de notre réalité : la roche emprisonne l’histoire du monde, figeant une époque comme pour mieux nous la restituer.

Inerte aux yeux des novices, le minéral et les paysages qu’il compose nous portent hors de notre temporalité, hors de notre humanité, vers une grandeur indescriptible qui fait de nos existences un ridicule détail.

Ainsi, jouer avec l’érosion pour révéler une lumière artificielle emprisonnée dans le minéral, c’est comme courber l’espace temps. C’est faire se percuter les réalités.

Aberrations géologiques qui fascinent par leur anachronisme, ces objets expriment une intensité cachée au coeur de la roche dans l’espoir d’en faire renaitre le sacré.

Geomorphic is an exploration of mineral time, in which I reproduce in accelerated form the natural process of erosion on fantasized rocks.

A sedimentation of our time that erosion reveals, these pieces offer our eyes mineralogical discoveries like a mise en abime of our reality: the rock imprisons the history of the world, freezing an era as if to better restore it to us.

Inert in the eyes of the uninitiated, mineral and the landscapes it composes take us out of our temporality, out of our humanity, towards an indescribable grandeur that makes our existence a ridiculous detail.

Playing with erosion to reveal artificial light imprisoned in mineral is like bending space-time. It’s like colliding realities.

Geological aberrations that fascinate through their anachronism, these objects express an intensity hidden at the heart of rock, in the hope of reviving its sacredness.
