Les tables basses MEGALYTH proviennent du moulage de blocs rocheux de la forêt de Fontainebleau.
Par une prise d’empreinte en forêt et un procédé de moulage en staff réalisé en atelier, j’explore les capacités de ces formes minérales à devenir fonctionnelles en plaçant l’homme face à son être primitif.
Placé dans un environnement domestique, ce bloc minéral, massif, impose une force et une beauté brute que l’on s’approprie avec humilité, faisant alors vaciller la notion de fonctionnalité.
Megalyth fait partie de la série Paréidolia, un travail révélant le lien entre la perception de la forme et l’intuition de l’usage.

The MEGALYTH coffee tables are made from moulded boulders from the Fontainebleau forest.
By taking imprints in the forest and using a staff moulding process made in the workshop, I explore the capacity of these mineral forms to become functional by bringing man face to face with his primitive self.
Placed in a domestic environment, this massive mineral block imposes a force and a raw beauty that we appropriate with humility, bringing into question the notion of functionality.
Megalyth is part of the Pareidolia series, a work that reveals the link between the perception of form and the intuition of use.
